CAREER TRACKER: Lawyers on the move - Nov. 13, 2012

Nov 13 (Reuters) - Jeremy Johnson has joined McDermott Will & Emery as partner in New York. Formerly with DLA Piper, he will work at the firm's restructuring and insolvency practice.

Schulte Roth & Zabel has added Brian Daly as partner in its investment management and regulatory and compliance groups in New York. Daly was general counsel and chief compliance officer at Kepos Capital, which he joined in 2010 as a founding member.

Justin Greenblum, previously with K&L Gates, is a new partner in the litigation department of Carter Ledyard & Milburn's New York office.

In Washington, Charles "Chuck" Ossola has moved from Dickstein Shapiro to the intellectual property practice of Vinson & Elkins as a partner. Ossola brings along an associate.

Squire Sanders has hired Steven Auvil as the new head of its intellectual property and technology group's litigation practice in the United States. Moving from Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff, he will split his time between Squire's Washington and Cleveland offices.

Arthur Haubenstock is now senior counsel at Perkins Coie and will move between its Washington and San Francisco offices, handling environmental, energy and resource matters. He was previously vice president for regulatory affairs at BrightSource Energy.

DLA Piper has hired Kathleen Birrane as of counsel in Baltimore, where she will be in the insurance and reinsurance sector and litigation practices. Most recently she was senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at Maple Life Financial.

In Boston, all the partners in Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale & Dorr's private client practice will move over to Choate, Hall & Stewart's wealth management group on Dec. 1. Partners Jennifer Snyder, Nan Giner, Michael Fay and Brian Monnich will make the move and bring with them associates and other staff.

David Houston has left Pilsbury Winthrop for the Falls Church, Virginia, office of Reed Smith. He will be partner in its real estate practice.

In London, Davis Polk has added Will Pearce as partner. A mergers and acquisitions corporate finance lawyer, Pearce joins from Herbert Smith Freehills.

White & Case has taken on Abdulwahid Alulama as partner in Abu Dhabi. Most recently serving in a commercial finance role with Mubadala GE Capital, Alulama was also group chief legal officer at Dubai World Group and a partner with Al Tamimi & Company.
