Nov 20 (Reuters) - Christian Moretti has left Venable to
join Carter Ledyard & Milburn as partner in New York. He will
join the firm's corporate department and co-chair its European
cross-border practice.
Former acting assistant attorney general of the Justice
Department's antitrust division, Joe Wayland has rejoined Simpson Thacher & Bartlett as partner in New York. He was a
litigator at the firm from 1988 to 2010.
In Washington, Barnes & Thornburg has added Jordan Weinstein
as partner in its intellectual property department. He moves
over from Oblon, Spivak, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt.
McDermott Will & Emery has hired two new international
arbitration partners. Lisa Richman will be based in the firm's
Washington office, and Sabine Konrad in Frankfurt. Both join
from K&L Gates, where they worked as a team.
Alston & Bird has hired James Evans Jr. as partner in Los
Angeles. Joining from Fulbright & Jaworski, he will be with the
firm's litigation team.
