Jan 29 (Reuters) - Employment attorney Spencer Skeen has
joined Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart from Fisher &
Phillips. He will oversee a new office in San Diego, Ogletree
Deakins said.
"San Diego has long been a target for our firm's growth, and
we have been patient to open until we found the right person to
lead our expansion in the market," said Kim Ebert, a managing
shareholder at Ogletree Deakins.
San Diego is the firm's fourth new office in less than a
year and adds to a California network that already includes Los
Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco and Torrance.
Skeen has represented clients in various legal matters
involving wrongful termination, wage and hour claims and unfair
business practices.
He has litigated in state and federal court as well as the
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the California
Department of Fair Employment and Housing.
Ogletree Deakins's "expanded platform creates an opportunity
to provide additional value and offer enhanced services to my
clients," Skeen said in a statement.
Ogletree Deakins has 650 attorneys in 43 offices in the
United States and Europe.
