Structured finance attorney Perry Sayles has left Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer for partnership at McDermott Will & Emery in New York. McDermott has also added Roger Jones and Andrew Roberson as partners in Chicago. Both focus on tax litigation and have joined from Latham & Watkins.

Bingham McCutchen has added Fred Gallo as a real estate partner in New York. Gallo joined from Katten Muchin Rosenman.

Intellectual property litigator Adam Hess has left Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman for partnership at Venable in Washington. Real estate transaction attorney Alan Berman has also joined Venable as of counsel in New York. Berman was formerly with the now defunct Dewey & LeBoeuf. Also finding post-Dewey employment is Tao Lan, who joined White & Case's mergers and acquisitions practice in Beijing as a partner.

Greenberg Traurig has expanded its Israel practice. Mergers and acquisitions attorney Ephraim Schmeidler has joined the New York office from Blank Rome. Scott Mortman joined the Tel Aviv office as a shareholder in the firm's corporate and securities practice; he was previously with Mayer Brown. Mayer Brown, meanwhile, has gained two corporate and securities partners in Beijing. Henry Wang was formerly the managing partner of Dechert's Beijing office, and Bill Au was of counsel at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe.

Michael Petty, former vice president of development and regulatory law at Amgen Inc, has joined the FDA and life sciences practice at King & Spalding in Washington as a partner. Also joining King & Spalding is Nigel Heilpern, who will be a partner and will launch a real estate practice for the firm in London. He moves over from Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson.

Jonathan Kallmer has left the International Trade Group, where he served as deputy assistant U.S. trade representative of investment, for a position as counsel at Crowell & Moring in Washington.

Loeb & Loeb has added Allen Sussman from Reed Smith as a partner in its Los Angeles capital markets and corporate practice groups.

David Hayes has left Dorsey & Whitney for partnership at Haynes and Boone in Orange County, where he's to work with the firm's corporate team.

Litigator John Goselin has joined Duane Morris as a partner in Atlanta, leaving Cetera Financial Group, where he served as chief litigation counsel.

In Raleigh, North Carolina, Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton added of counsel Charles Feuss to its labor and employment team; he was previously with Greenberg Traurig.

Nixon Peabody added former JP Morgan Chase & Co executive director and senior wealth advisor Stephanie Seiffert as counsel in the firm's private clients practice in Rochester, New York.

Jones Day has added Markus Kappenhagen as a partner in its labor and employment practice in Dusseldorf; he joins from Baker & McKenzie.
