Nov 5 (Reuters) - Mark Levine has left Herrick, Feinstein to join Akerman Senterfitt's real estate practice group in New York. Levine, who once served as chief of the New York City Office of the Corporation Counsel, Housing and Real Estate Division, will be a member of the firm's land use and development team.

Cooley has nabbed two intellectual property attorneys from Chadbourne & Parke, plus some 15 associates and support staff. Walter Hanchuk, the former chair of Chadbourne's IP department, and John Kheit, who headed the mobile technology practice, will become the head of Cooley's New York IP practice and partner, respectively.

Edwards Wildman Palmer has hired as partners for its litigation department Edwin Larkin from Venable, who will be based in New York, and, in Chicago, Michael King from Neal Gerber Eisenberg.

R. David Whitaker, former senior company counsel in the strategy and operation risk group at Wells Fargo, has joined BuckleySandler as counsel in Washington.

Pepper Hamilton has added two new partners in Boston from Nutter McClennen & Fish. Thomas Engellenner and Dr. Reza Mollaaghababa have joined the firm's intellectual property transactions and rights management practice group.

In Philadelphia, Salvatore Rotella has left Cozen O'Connor for Reed Smith, where he will be partner with the firm's life sciences health industry group.

Steve Lewis has joined Bingham McCutchen as partner in Tokyo, where he moves from Herbert Smith to practice in the firm's Japanese practice group and financial services area.

In Singapore, Jones Day has hired two new partners from Allens: Matthew Skinner in the firm's global disputes practice and Darren Murphy in the energy practice.

Duane Morris & Selvam has also added two new attorneys to its Singapore office. Joining the firm's international capital markets, private equity and cross-border practices are Jamie Benson and James Wong. Benson joins as a director from Dorsey & Whitney in London and Wong leaves Crescent Advisors to become special counsel.
