Jan 25 (Reuters) - Reed Smith has added Jeff Legault as partner in its New York office. He moves over from Goodwin Procter to join the firm's corporate and securities practice.

Cindy Yang has left Dickstein Shapiro for Schiff Hardin in New York, where she will be partner in its intellectual property group.

Arnold & Porter has gained Scott Lent as an antitrust attorney in New York. He comes to the firm as counsel from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.

Heath Rosenblat is leaving King & Spalding for Drinker Biddle & Reath. He will be counsel in the firm's corporate restructuring practice group in New York.

David Sussman of Day Pitney has moved to Duane Morris's corporate practice group as partner in Newark, New Jersey.

Former governor of Puerto Rico, Luis Fortuno, has joined Steptoe in its Washington office. He will be a partner in both the corporate, securities and finance group and the government affairs and public policy group.

Two attorneys have rejoined Hogan Lovells as members in Washington. Christopher Walsh will work in the corporate practice group and Mitchell Zamoff in the litigation, arbitration and employment practice group. Both were executive vice presidents and general counsel at UnitedHealth Group.

Scott Stone is now counsel at Hunton & Williams in Washington. He moves over from Sierra Nevada Corporation, where he was director of global environmental initiatives.

In Virginia, Oblon Spivak has scooped up the electrical practice group from Oliff & Berridge. John Kern joins as partner and brings with him an associate and a technical specialist.

Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton has hired Laura Burson as partner in its intellectual property practice group. Joining from Kirkland & Ellis, she will be based in Los Angeles.

Quarles & Brady has added two new real estate partners in Chicago. Robert Messerly and Derek Neathery join from SNR Denton.

Also in Chicago, Jonathan Quinn has left Reed Smith to join Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg as partner in the general and commercial litigation practice group.

William Heller and Harry Beaudry have moved from Thompson & Knight to Mayer Brown in Houston, and both will be partners in the corporate and securities practice.

In San Antonio, Strausburger & Price has a new partner in its international practice. Margaret Hopson comes from Jackson Walker.

Ballard Spahr has added Anastasia Khokhryakova as of counsel in Denver. She joins from Hogan Lovells and focuses her practice on public and project finance.

In London, Karen McMaster is moving from Linklaters to Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, where she will be special counsel in the financial restructuring department.

Jackson Lewis has opened a new office in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with two attorneys from Kotz Sangster Wysocki. Timothy Ryan joins as partner and Linda Ryan as of counsel.
