Feb 21 (Reuters) - Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart
has hired Elizabeth Dougherty as shareholder in Washington. She
will lead the firm's new airline and railway practice group.
Previously Dougherty served on the National Mediation Board as
one of three presidential appointees.
Gary Veron has left Sidley Austin to be partner in Hogan
Lovells' government regulatory practice in Washington.
Loeb & Loeb has added Thomas Hanley III from Dykema Gossett
as partner in its Los Angeles office, where he joins its real
A group of defense attorneys from Brown Eassa & McLeod are
taking their practice to Sedgwick. In San Francisco, partners
Eugene Brown, Robert Eassa, Bruce McLeod, Delia Isvoranu, Troy
McMahan, Amee Mikacich and Susan Ogdie move to the firm with
their associates. In Los Angeles, Philip Cosgrove joins as
partner with an associate.
Corporate attorney Frank Vargas has joined Rimon as partner
in its office in Palo Alto, California. He moves over from Gray
Plant Mooty Mooty & Bennett, where he served as principal.
In Chicago, Francis Lyons has joined the environmental group
at Schiff Hardin as partner after leaving Bryan Cave.
McDermott Will & Emery has a new partner in its Chicago
health practice. Clare Ranalli moves over from Holland & Knight.
Foley & Lardner has hired a new attorney in its Detroit
office. Stacy Fox, previously senior vice president of strategy
and general counsel at Sunoco, joins the firm's automotive and
energy industry teams and the transactional and securities
practice as of counsel.
William Wales, who recently retired from his position as
vice president, general counsel, at Dow AgroSciences, has joined
Barnes & Thornburg as partner in its litigation and corporate
departments in Indianapolis.
Two attorneys have left Kilpatrick Townsend to join Troutman
Sanders' financial institutions practice in Atlanta. James
Stevens moves over as partner and Richard Cheatham as senior
Jones Day has hired as partner Hector Tinoco, former general
counsel for Mexico's Central Bank. He joins the firm's banking
and finance practice in Mexico City.
