Justin Shur was previously with the Department of Justice, where he served as the deputy chief for the public integrity section of the criminal division. Ben Quarmby was with Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan. Quarmby also previously practiced with name partner Steven Molo at Shearman & Sterling.
Duane Morris has added Kenneth Shropshire as special counsel in its Philadelphia office. Shropshire focuses on sports law and will work in the firm's corporate group. He will continue to teach at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business.
IP Litigator Vera Elson has joined Sidley Austin in Palo Alto as a partner. She was previously with McDermott Will & Emery.
Perkins Coie has added two partners and an of counsel to its Seattle office. Litigation partner Judy Jennison rejoins the firm from Microsoft Corp, where she served as associate general counsel and led the copyright and trade-secrets group. Michael Scoville is a partner in the product-liability group and was previously with the U.S. Attorney's office in Seattle, where he focused on prosecuting organized fraud rings. Of counsel Karl Klassen joins Perkins Coie's intellectual property group and was previously an associate at Seattle's Seed IP Law Group.
In San Antonio, Strasburger Price Oppenheimer Blend has added of counsel Bradley Oxford to its tax and estate planning practice. He was previously with Texas's Cox Smith Matthews.
Employment firm Littler Mendelson has opened an office in Memphis. Local employment firm Kiesewetter Wise Kaplan Prather is joining Littler; the group includes 16 attorneys. Littler has also added Jacqueline Polito as of counsel in Rochester, New York. She joins from the Rochester City School District.
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius will add Tracy Evlogidis as a partner in its immigration practice in London. She moves over from Speechly Bircham and will be joined by two associates. Also in London, Elizabeth Robertson has joined K&L Gates as a partner in the firm's policy and regulatory practice. She was previously with Addleshaw Goddard.
Foley Hoag has added two to its international litigation and arbitration practice in Paris. Partner Anna Joubin-Bret joined from the U.N. Conference on Trade and Development, where she served as senior legal advisor on investment, technology and enterprise development. Special counsel Pierre d'Argent holds the Public International Law Chair at the University of Louvain in Belgium and also served as First Secretary of the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
