Seth Goldsamt has joined Lowenstein
Sandler as partner in its specialty finance practice in New
York. He moves over from McDermott Will & Emery.
Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton has a new partner in its
corporate practice group in Orange County, California. Megan
Gess comes over from O'Melveny & Myers.
Holland & Knight has added two new partners to its real
estate practice group in Miami. Vivian de las Cuevas-Diaz and
Barbara Ferrer are part of a five-attorney team moving over from
Broad and Cassel.
In Philadelphia, Cozen O'Connor's board of directors has
elected firm member Sandra Bloch as its new general counsel. She
has been a member at the firm since 1995 and will continue her
corporate law practice in addition to her new role, succeeding
Henry Gladstone, who held the post for 10 years.
Thomas Durkin, a partner in Mayer Brown's litigation and
dispute resolution practice in Chicago, will be sworn in as a
U.S. district judge for the Northern District of Illinois on
Jan. 14, 2013. He was nominated by President Barack Obama in May
and unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate.
