CAREER TRACKER: Lawyers on the move - Feb. 4, 2013

Feb 4 (Reuters) - Mitra Hormozi, former chair of the New York State Commission on Public Integrity and former chief of the Organized Crime Unit of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York, is now partner in Zuckerman Spaeder's New York office. She most recently practiced at Kirkland & Ellis.

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher has added Arthur Long as partner in its New York office. He was previously with Davis Polk & Wardwell and will continue to focus his practice on the regulation of banks and financial institutions.

Daniel Dufner has left Linklaters to rejoin White & Case in New York as partner in its U.S. mergers and acquisitions practice.

The general counsel of the Federal Trade Commission, Willard Tom, is rejoining Morgan Lewis. He will be partner in the firm's antitrust practice.

In Washington, Gary Grindler, former acting deputy attorney general of the Justice Department, has rejoined King & Spalding as partner in the firm's special matters and government investigations practice. He will focus on financial fraud, healthcare, international and congressional investigations as well as False Claims Act cases. King & Spalding has also hired two finance and banking attorneys from Paul Hastings. Chris Molen and J. Craig Lee join as partners in the financial institutions practice in Atlanta.

Reed Smith has added Tisha Schestopol as counsel in its life sciences and health industry group in Washington. She was most recently a senior regulatory attorney at Human Genome Sciences.

Healthcare attorney Colin Roskey has left Alston & Bird to join Cozen O'Connor's healthcare group, where he will be a member in both the Washington and Philadelphia offices.

Jones Day has hired John Cooper as partner in its Sydney, Australia, office. He moves over from Allens and will be partner in the firm's global disputes practice.

Richard Ernest has joined the Dubai office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher from Clifford Chance. He will be partner and continue his banking and finance practice.
